Adventures in Oakland

March 2, 2013

Today was our day to spend with Peter, or at least to spend doing things connected with Peter, and as is usual with Peter, it was not boring.

We began by dropping Peter off at his gym for a cross-fit competition.  We would have liked to stay and watch but needed to head south to Palo Alto to see the gallery David Lucas just opened with his friend Dan.  David and his wife, Allison, are Peter's friends, but they're our friends too.  So, now we can say we have friends who own an art gallery.  How cool is that!

David and Allison were at the gallery and gave us the grand tour.  Here's some of the art.

And here's their dog.

After lunch and a quick look at Stanford, Nancy and I headed back to Oakland.  Peter was going to a potluck at his gym, and we were coming along.  Here's Peter networking at the potluck.

And here are some photos of the gym.  It's called the Great Western Power Company because that's what it was before it was a gym.  It's an incredible space.

Tomorrow the long drive to Death Valley.
