We were late getting to Ashland, but get there we did, and talked well into the night. It's fun to visit family! Next morning we were off again, this time to Oakland. It was grey and cloudy through the Siskiyous, clearly we had a lot further to go in our quest for sunshine. Here's a picture of our intrepid Prius, stopped at the Mt. Shasta viewpoint.

Eventually the clouds cleared. We did see Mt. Shasta!
Not only that, but when we stopped again it was wonderfully, gloriously, sunny and warm! I called my friend David back in Seattle. He hates clouds and rain even more than I, and I thought he would like to know.
